The Hon’ble National Consumer Disputes Resolution Commission (NCDRC) was pleased to partly allow the appeal filed by Railways/Union of India challenging the order of Ld State Consumer Disputes Resolution Commission (‘SCDRC’) wherein the Ld SCDRC had overstepped its pecuniary jurisdiction by awarding compensation at a very higher side than what is prescribed in the Railway Rules for compensation of loss of one eye.

The appeal was drafted and argued by Ms. Anushkaa Arora, Senior Panel Counsel of the Union of India. We congratulate Ms. Arora and her office, who rendered their service to the Central Government by expeditiously rendering in the filing of the instant appeal and obtaining a favourable order.
