"Unlocking Justice: Behind Bars and Beyond!" Workshop at Tihar Jail Organised by Delhi High Court Legal Services Committee (DHCLSC)

Delhi High Court Legal Services Committee (DHCLSC) organized an extraordinary workshop on Wednesday 02 August 2023, inside the precincts of Central Jail Tihar No. -06 , with the aim of empowering the inmates with legal knowledge and awareness. The event witnessed the dynamic presence of DHCLSC's passionate Jail Visiting Advocate Anushkaa Arora and the passionate Advocate Mr Zoeb Khan, from DSLSA Central.

The workshop was graced by esteemed guests, including the Deputy Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent of Central Jail Tihar No. -06 ,, along with the Law Officer (LO) of Central Tihar Jail No. 06. More than 200 inmates actively participated in the engaging sessions.

Anushkaa Arora, an expert in criminal law and a Jail visiting advocate, took center stage to speak on the crucial topic of Bail, Furlough, Parole and Remission. Her insights and expertise shed light on the intricacies of the bail process etc., leaving a lasting impact on the eager audience.

Zoen Khan, an advocate from Central DSLSA, complemented the workshop with valuable inputs and compassionate guidance.

The interactive sessions were the highlight of the event, as inmates freely expressed their thoughts, sought legal advice, and engaged in meaningful discussions.

This workshop was a remarkable step towards fostering legal awareness and justice behind the prison bars. DHCLSC's commitment to serving the marginalized and underprivileged in our society shines through such initiatives.
