INPUTS/SUGGESTIONS AS PROPOSED BY ABA LAW OFFICE TO THE DRAFT ADVOCATES (PROTECTION) BILL 2021

With immense pleasure, ABA Law Office, gladly suggests a handful of inputs, section wise to the proposed Advocate, (Protection) Bill, 2021 (hereinafter referred to as "Bill"). It is a privilege to participate in providing these inputs and We at ABA Law Office, regards the same in very high esteem. Based on various incidents of assaults and hardships that have been faced and suffered by various Advocates and Young Advocates in the times of COVID-19 and likewise, we propose a few additions to the proposed Bill. These adversities faced by fellow Lawyers have been correctly identified and highlighted at the outset of the said Bill by Ld. and esteemed Committee Members. We at ABA Law Office consider it thus imperative for a legislation to be passed to reduce such hardships and sufferings for a noble and elite segment of the society which aids into dispensing of justice, as correctly observed in Ramon Services Pvt. Ltd vs Subhash Kapoor And Others. AIR 2001 SC 207 & other notable judgments .
Herein below are few additions jotted section wise, along with the explanations. The additions to the section(s) has been made in bold and been underlined for clarity and ease of reading. We state that these additions are made keeping larger interests in mind, and the entire community shall be grateful if the same are well considered by the Ld. Council.
